Inauguration of the Frances Goldin Way
Last Thursday, 5th October, the city of New York celebrated Frances Goldin, activist and literary agent, by naming a street after her. The Frances Goldin Way sign was unveiled at the corner of East 4th Street and Bowery/Cooper Square.
Frances Goldin has played a central role in Lower East Side activism, fighting for the racial integration of the Seward Park Urban Renewal area and advocating for the rights of the gay community. But she was also a distinguished literary agent, founding the homonymous agency in 1977 that also represented numerous Pulitzer Prize winners.
The B&G team is proud to work with the Frances Goldin Literary Agency and we are delighted that this woman's extraordinary work has been recognised in this way.
