New Clients: Picus Verlag
Picus Verlag is an independent publishing house founded in Vienna in 1984 by Dorothea Löcker and Alexander Potyka. The name of the house is inspired by Pico, one of the first kings of Lazio and the logo recalls the woodpecker, the animal into which Pico was transformed by the sorceress Circe after refusing his love. The first publications dealt with architecture and children books, and now the catalog is characterized by a great variety of litearture, travel reports, history, memoirs and non-fiction.
Picus aims to be a publishing house open to the world that brings together intellectual commitment and aesthetic sense.
They also have a selection of books for younger readers.
