Uwe Timm awarded with Lessing Prize
Congratulations to Uwe Timm for receiving the Lessing Prize 2021!
Endowed by the city of Hamburg with € 10.000, the Lessing Prize is one of the most important German literary awards. Hannah Arendt, Peter Weiss, Max Horkheimer, Jean Améry, and Karl Schlögel are among past winners - authors committed to the maxims of the Enlightenment in the spirit of Gotthold Ephraim Lessing.

Uwe Timm's works are published by Kiepenheuer & Witsch, in Italy Sellerio published his latest novel Icaria (Un mondo migliore) in 2019 and reissued The Invention of the Curried Sausage (La scoperta della currywurst) last year.
