Despite so much uncertainty, certain facts appear indisputable. The first two that come to mind are: the crucial importance of books and ideas, and the preciousness of belonging to such a special “family “ as our wonderful international publishing community.
These are the strengths that will help us navigate the challenging weeks, months ahead: Together we will find solutions to small and bigger obstacles facing our work, so that we may make sure the mission of bringing books to our readers doesn’t stop!
What is irrefutable, is that the world that will greet us when we surface from this crisis, will be a changed one, presenting us with urgent social, ethical and political issues. And there will be even more desperate need for ideas, discussions and contributions and, therefore, books!
